What does Certification means?
Certification is the standardize method to obtain professional recognition for those pet groomers whose knowledge, techniques, abilities and skills have been tested and thereby certified as having met the high standards set forth by the Singapore Kennel club. Certification can only help our profession. Individuals wishing to certify must display exceptional knowledge and skills in both written and practical skills testing procedure.
There are 4 levels of certification programme C, B, A and Master. C is the first level, and each year you can upgrade to the next level. Towards each higher level, the degree of difficulty and expectation from the Grooming Judge will increase. During the practical certification, students will be tested on scissoring skills, symmetry, balance, degree of difficulty and breed standard. Students only need to complete 1 type of breed and trim, and they can choose the trims listed below to participate in the certification.
Various grooming school will send their students for certification and to compete with one another where prizes will be awarded to students who do well. Our school has been participating in the SKC certification and competition events since the 1st SKC exam in 2007 and our students have won many awards throughout the years.

Course Format

Pre-Requisites
- 16 years old and above
- Can speak English or Mandarin
- Must be an animal lover
- For C class, candidates need to complete the Professional Pet Grooming Course or relevant pet grooming experience of at least 6 months
- For B class, candidates need to hold an SKC C class certificate
- For A class, candidates need to hold an SKC B class certificate
- For Master class, candidates need to hold an SKC A class certificate

AAA run a chain of pet salons as a subsidiary company of Pet Lovers Centre, the largest pet stores chain in Singapore. There will be jobs ready for you after your graduation and we also have grooming salons that call us looking for graduates from our school.
